Keene Mendenhall

My passion for horses started at a young age when I visited my family who owned horses in Alabama. I realized I wanted to get more involved in the industry as I got older, so I started looking for ways to get more experience. I stumbled upon VEWS in the summer of 2023 and started helping out around the barn with my sister. I took my passion even further by working at a local equine clinic and have since gained a plethora of knowledge about equines and how to care for them. The Barn Manager role fit perfectly for me thanks to my background in manual labor and military service. I am very thankful for VEWS, this community has been so welcoming and educational. We are a true family of horse lovers, and I am proud to contribute to such a great organization!
