Breanna Schauer

I’ve been volunteering with VEWS since spring of 2022 and it is hands down my favorite part of the week! I love working with my shift to help with barn chores, participating in the groundwork/riding group, and now working with the Adoptions Team to find forever homes for our horses. One of my favorite aspects of volunteering is watching the horses transition to their new chapter here at VEWS. I love seeing their unique personality shine through while they settle in, knowing that they’re safe and cared for. I also love working with my fellow volunteers…the community within VEWS never ceases to amaze me. They are always willing to step out of their comfort zone, learn and help each other to do what is best for our horses. I’m so grateful I get to be a part of this great group of dedicated people and meet so many wonderful horses along the way.
