Helena

Update Sept 1: Helena and Firefly departed VEWS to begin in residence, after-track riding training and assessment with a trainer. Please check back for their progress reports.

Helena arrived at VEWS July 2 through our partnership with Aftercare Charles Town (ACT); a 501(c) program dedicated to rehoming retired racehorses coming off the track at Charles Town Races.
Helena is registered under the name "Supersnake." She had 33 starts and last raced in December 2023. This 5 year old mare stands 15.3. She is a beautiful, sweet mare who is enjoying her let-down time at VEWS and will be ready for assessment later this summer. Please watch for Helena's updates.
