Firefly

Update Sept 1: Helena and Firefly departed VEWS to begin in residence, after-track riding training and assessment with a trainer. Please check back for their progress reports.

Firefly, like her buddy Helena, is an OTTB who arrived at VEWS July 2 through our partnership with ACT.

Registered as "Zupita," this 4 year old mare stands 16h. Firefly had 23 starts and last raced in April 2024. She retired off the track sound. She, like Helena, is adjusting well to her let-down time at VEWS. She enjoys interacting with humans and seeks attention. She will also be ready for assessment later this summer.
