ADOPTION PROCESS
Thinking about adopting a horse in the near future? Here’s how the VEWS adoption process works:
-
See an available horse or a horse in training that interests you. We post our horses on our website and on social media (Facebook and Instagram).
-
Submit an adoption application to vewsadopt@gmail.com.
-
Chat with an adoption coordinator. An adoption coordinator will contact you to make sure your wants/needs align with the horse’s abilities and personality - and vice versa.
-
Come out to the barn for at least two meet-n-greets with the horses. We want to ensure the best possible match for you and the horse.
-
Complete an adoption contract. Plan to provide transportation for your new horse within one (1) week of signing the contract.
-
Before your horse goes home, VEWS will check your references and conduct a facility inspection. *No barbed wire allowed.*
-
Transport your new horse to their forever home!
Email us at vewsadopt@gmail.com if you have any questions.
